Meeting Patrick Grant: How Bijoux Blush Champions Slow Fashion Jewellery

This week, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Huddersfield Literature Festival, where the effortlessly stylish Patrick Grant—from The Great British Sewing Bee —was a guest speaker. As a long-time fan of the show, I was beyond excited. A few years ago, I was equally thrilled to see Esme Young give a guest lecture at the University of Huddersfield. Her passion for fashion and fearless creativity left a lasting impression on me.

Fashion has always been at the heart of what I do at Bijoux Blush. It’s not just about aesthetics—it’s about how something makes you feel. I create jewellery designed to spark joy and confidence. Each piece is handcrafted with care, intention, and a deep love of design.

Patrick’s talk was incredibly entertaining, but what resonated most was his message: buy local, buy handmade, and buy things to last. It felt like he was speaking directly to our ethos at Bijoux Blush.

We create timeless pieces that elevate your everyday wardrobe—those go-to earrings or necklaces that you reach for season after season. Our designs are slow, deliberate, and sustainable. Nothing is mass-produced; we create in small batches or to order, minimising waste and maximising quality.

If, like Patrick, you believe in supporting small businesses and embracing slow fashion, why not take a moment to browse our latest collections? Every piece is made with heart—and made to last.
